I had high hopes for this deliciously-named tomato, and it did not disappoint.

10/10 flavor, 10/10 production, 10/10 hardiness, 10/10 looks. more
Black From Tula
So many great varieties that we have grown or are growing list Black From Tula as a parent plant. I just had to try it to see why it has been used in so many breeding projects. Fruits are sweet, rich, smoky, and salty. Highly recommend for fans of purple or black tomatoes. more
Mongolian Dwarf
I was blown away by the production of this bush-type heirloom tomato. 2-3 feet tall plants were absolutely loaded with small to medium-sized red tomatoes that had a delicious balanced flavor. Great choice for patios & balconies, small grow spaces, and northern growers. more

Beautiful orbs of lemon yellow & blue. Lovely for eating fresh in salads. Has a unique umami flavor. Created by Patrina Nuske-Smalls of the Dwarf Tomato Project, alongside Gondwana Lava, Gondwana Rose, and Gondwana Thunder. more
Taiga
Big beautiful oxheart tomatoes. Dense and thick with very little seeds. Flesh inside is a beautiful mix of red, green, and bronze. I am always amazed at how heavy and large these fruits can grow to be. Developed by Karen Olivier of True North Tomatoes. more
Deep Space
I think I've included this variety in my top 10 for the last several years now. I love it. I can't stop growing it. Elongated plum tomatoes are a rich mahogany color with a metallic sheen and antho-brushed shoulders. Cut tomatoes open to reveal beautiful red & green bi-color flesh. A good balance of acid & sweet. Very productive. I love harvesting these by the handful in the fall. more
Created right here in Alberta as the result of a breeding program in the 1970s conducted by Dr. Harris at the Beaverlodge Research Station. Is probably one of the earliest variety that we grow, along with Farthest North. 40-65 days. more
